Insightful answer MQ. It makes you wonder what you'd really be if you didn't have to continually put on some sort of "disguise" for the benefit of others' perception or even for one's perception of oneself.
A good question, poppers. Personally, I don't wear makeup anymore. I still own it and if I had to make a family portrait or something, I might put some on. I decided years ago that makeup is a lie - to myself and to everyone else; and that if people can't accept me as I am, that's their problem, not mine. My problem always was and probably always will be accepting myself as I am and not judging all the imperfections. Like I said, if I were to have pictures made, I would put on make-up. But make-up doesn't make me feel like a whole person; it makes me feel like a lie. And that's what it is - a lie.
